• "baited" breath — what, you got a worm on your tongue? (It's "bated" breath.)
• "pouring" over [a book, papers, whatever] — spilling water on it won't help. (It's "poring.")

• ... and my number one pet peeve: "lead" as the past tense of "to lead." It's "led," kids, no, really, that's not a word that band just made up. "You can lead a horse to water, so I led him to the ocean."

• When you turn around to go back the way you came? That's a 180, not a 360. (360 = spinning all the way around so you are facing the same way as when you started.)

• It's "drunk and disorderly [conduct]," not "drunken disorderly."

• It's "free rein," not "free reign."

• People who squee over a certain fruity-drink-named bad BSG fic and then proclaim that they "hate soaps" and think RDM is turning BSG into one. Um, right.
