Katee Sackhoff totally rules, and so do Weddle and Thompson (who wrote this, as well as "The Hand of God").
Also, I am completely stupefied by people claiming that this episode was the worst ever. Yes, they are out there. They obviously wouldn't recognize good writing, acting, editing, etc. if it walked up and whacked them with a two-by-four, but still.
Plus! Any episode that features a glimpse of Kara Thrace's ass has to be good, just on a purely shallow note, mind you. I mean, hey, if I was Apollo, I'd've been putting my hands in the exact same place. Expect an icon any day now.
And Kat survived, somewhat to my surprise.
And, oh, yeah: What happened to the scene in my icon? Why do they keep cutting all of Kara's prayer scenes, dammit? I like those.

Actually, I totally understand that, because I have the same problem. In fact, for me, it's much worse when it's a comedy and I'm supposed to laugh at it. One reason I hate most comedies. In this case, I found it painful to watch but it was supposed to be painful, so for some reason I was able to watch it more easily, if that makes sense.
There are some people here on LJ who hated the episode, and many more on SciFi's site. Mostly Starbuck-haters, but a bunch of people who didn't like the non-linear structure of the episode (which I thought was handled fine) or who just didn't pay enough attention to get some basic plot points. Oh, and a few Anders-haters, of course.
